Specified by IUT-T, the MOS/PESQ model assesses the clarity of speech transmission end to end by assigning a score on a scale of 0 to 5. MOS/PESQ measures the speech quality delivered by analyzing voice disturbances, background noise, the signal/noise ratio, signal distortions, etc. MOS/PESQ measurements are used for traditional telephony as well as for VoIP. A sound recording is compared with the original.
